Every LÆVIK piece is made by hand in our Iași workshop. We stand behind the craftsmanship of every product we make.
Guarantor & Workshop Details
This voluntary commercial guarantee is provided by LÆVIK (operated in Iași, Romania; contact: silviu@laevik.com).
Duration & Scope
This craftsmanship guarantee applies for a period of 2 years starting from the date of delivery. It covers all defects in materials and craftsmanship arising from the hand construction of the piece.
What is covered
This guarantee covers failures in hand saddle-stitching or assembly stitching, hardware defects (rivets, buckles, snaps, and zippers), structural lining failures, and delamination resulting from original workshop assembly under normal intended use.
What is not covered
Normal aesthetic wear, natural patina development, scratches or marks that occur through ordinary contact, damage from excessive moisture, heat, or chemical exposure, improper care balm applications on delicate leathers (e.g., suede/nubuck), unauthorized repairs or alterations, and accidental damage or misuse.
How to make a claim & remedies
Contact us at silviu@laevik.com with clear photographs of the defect and your original order number. We will evaluate the piece and propose the most sustainable and craft-appropriate remedy: repair, replacement of the defective component, or full piece replacement if repair is not viable.
Shipping responsibilities
For valid craftsmanship claims within the European Union, LÆVIK provides a prepaid return shipping label to send the item to our workshop and covers all return shipping costs to send the repaired or replaced piece back to you. For destinations outside the EU, shipping arrangements and applicable import duties will be coordinated and confirmed prior to dispatch.
Statutory consumer rights
This commercial craftsmanship guarantee is offered voluntarily and is in addition to, and without prejudice to, your mandatory legal consumer rights regarding the legal guarantee of conformity of goods under European and Romanian law (OUG 140/2021 and Directive (EU) 2019/771).
