About LÆVIK
Crafted in Romania, LÆVIK blends timeless leatherwork with modern precision.
Every piece is made in small batches — not to follow trends, but to outlast them.

Who I Am
I’m Silviu — a former software developer who traded lines of code for lines of stitching. What began as curiosity soon became a craft I live and breathe.
In my workshop, I design, cut, stitch, and finish every piece myself. Some items are saddle-stitched by hand for unmatched strength, while others are machine-stitched for clean precision — a balance of tradition and modern efficiency.
Why I Craft
I believe in fewer, better belongings — pieces that age with you, gather character, and become part of your story.
Each hide I select is chosen for durability, texture, and natural beauty. Working in small batches means less waste, greater care, and the preservation of a slower, more thoughtful way of consuming.

In Romania, craft has always meant more than making things. It has meant patience, resilience, and care. With LÆVIK I try to carry this spirit forward — not as nostalgia, but as something you keep, scuff, and make your own.
What Makes LÆVIK Different
- Materials: Full-grain and carefully selected chrome- or veg-tanned leathers, sometimes nubuck, each with unique character.
- Process: From drafting patterns to edge burnishing, every step passes through my hands.
- Traceability: Each piece begins with a clear origin, and I’m building toward blockchain-based authentication so you can follow your product’s journey.

How I Share My Craft
- Process photos — cutting, stitching, finishing.
- Short, immersive videos — the sound of a stitch pulled tight, the smooth rhythm of a burnisher.
- Sourcing maps and batch notes — for complete transparency.

A Piece With a Story
Owning a LÆVIK product means owning a story — of materials carefully sourced, hours spent at the bench, and the journey your piece takes with you.
It isn’t just something you own. It becomes something that owns a place in your life
